6.  Highlights:

  President Chahna Gandhi , PP DhanlaxmibenGandhi, Sadhana Doshi, Payal Thakkar, Dr.Ismat Gabula along with Ms.Bijal, a friend of Sadhana along with Dhanlaxmiben’s son Viraj & daughter- in-law  Shibani went to  Valsad  by  morning train. 

 We were received by the staff and wellwishers of the Gandhi family and escorted to a family friend’s official guest house. After freshening up and having a delicious breakfast of fafda,jalebi ,khakra, tea we went to the school premises . There we were met by the rest of the Gandhi family from Ahmedabad and their guests.

Inauguration of the science laboratories was then carried out. The Biology Laboratory and the renovation of the girls toilets  cost12, 42000/-has been donated by PP Dhanlaxmiben Gandhi through the Inner Wheel Club of Bombay North. President Chahna Gandhi did the ribbon cutting.

The laboratories are very well designed with ample space and light for children to study and learn in comfort. 

This was followed by a cultural program by the school . The dignitaries and all attending were welcomed with a song and ance and honored with floral tributes. 

Speeches were given by various dignataries.  Energetic and colorfully dressed children performed dances  with grace and aplomb. The performers were given cash prizes where PP Dhanlaxmiben gave,₹10,000 and President Chahna gave ₹ 5000.

The program ended with the National anthem sung by all. 

This was followed by planting of a sapling. 

Delicious lunch was organised for all visitors at another location.  All students were given snack boxes. Lunch +Snacks sponsored by Dhanlaxmiben cost₹30,000/-

Also did dohar distribution. 

 Following lunch people dispersed to various different activities, meeting at the station to board the return train to Mumbai.

All in all a wonderful day, super project.

 

 Objective of the Program:

To  provide state of the art amenities for children to pursue  the study of science subjects efficiently.
