Inauguration of Playground Equipment and Distribution of Solar Lamps
Today’s visit to Pallipada was truly fruitful and satisfying. As soon as we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the school children and Sarpanch Sadhana. They treated us to an energetic Lezim performance. Following which we were showered with flower petals adding to the festive atmosphere.
During our visit:-
1. *We Inaugurated the playground equipment for the local children.* Our hearts filled with joy as we saw hoards of children eagerly dashing to try the new playground equipment right after the inauguration.
2. *We Distributed 56 solar lamps* and it was truly humbling to see the smiles on the faces of both parents and children. Their eyes sparkled with gratitude as they spoke about how these lamps would brighten their houses and make studying easier for the young ones. The distributor trained the children to assemble, use and maintain the solar lamps.
3. *We then went to the Medical Clinic* that was opened 2 years ago and were overjoyed to see the doctor and nurse actively and wholeheartedly serving the community. A particularly moving moment was when a blind villager expressed how the medical clinic has transformed his life by making healthcare easily accessible within the village. He shared that earlier it was extremely difficult, as he had to travel long distances and spend considerable time, effort and money for even minor treatments. Now, with the clinic nearby, getting medical help has become simple and affordable for him.
4. *The masala-making machine (donated last year) is now being used with great enthusiasm.* We had a productive interaction with the local ladies, learning about their business and how they are greatly benefiting from it. The machines are providing them with a steady income as they sell masala’s online and to other villages.
